Sepoy Maqbool Hussain SJ was a Pakistani soldier who was prisoner of war in India for 40 years after 1965 war. While imprisoned he was brutally tortured and had his tongue cut off for not revealing any information. He also used to write Pakistan Zindabad on the prison walls with his blood.

He was released in 2005 during prisoner exchange by both countries at the Wagha border. Maqbool was awarded Sitara-i-Jurrat for his gallantry services in 2009. Hussain died on August 28, 2018 in Attock. He was native of Tarar Khal, Sudhanoti District, Azad Kashmir.
