Pakistan Army troops undertook rescue and relief operation for victims of Bus accident at Babusar Top on Sunday.
Pakistan Army aviation helicopters evacuated injured airlifted to Combined Military Hospital Gilgit for medical treatment, according to a news release of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The bodies of 26 passengers including 10 Army soldiers who lost lives in the mishap have also been shifted to CMH Gilgit.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Zafar Mehmood Abbasi expresses deep sorrow & grief over loss of lives in a bus accident near Babusar Top. The Naval Chief offered condolences to the bereaved families & prayed for early recovery of the injured.
Moreover, Prime Minister & President of Pakistan also expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives at Babusar Pass, Gilgit Baltistan. The Prime Minister sympathized with the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of those injured in the incident, a PM Office statement said. He also directed the authorities concerned to extend best possible medical care to the injured people.
UPDATE September 24th 2019: Namaze Janaza of Soldiers who lost life in bus accident at Babusar Top yesterday was offered at Chaklala Garrison this morning. General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) senior serving and retired officers, soldiers and relatives of deceased soldiers offered Namaze Janaza.
